1. Seller identity and contact details

The website and online store are operated by Carnet Numéro, Rue de la Paix 7b, 1020 Renens – Switzerland.

Email address: info@carnetnumero.ch.

2. Scope

These terms apply to sales made through the website and to use of the website. Any different terms proposed by the customer apply only if accepted by us in writing.

Mandatory consumer protection provisions in the customer’s country of residence remain unaffected where they apply.

3. Products and personalisation

We sell notebooks, accessories and personalised products. We aim to present product characteristics, dimensions, colours and photographs accurately. Minor differences caused by screens, materials or artisanal production do not necessarily constitute a defect.

The customer is responsible for checking text, artwork and other elements supplied for personalisation. We may refuse content that is unlawful, infringes third-party rights or conflicts with our values.

4. Prices, taxes and charges

The prices and currencies displayed when the order is placed apply. Any delivery charges are shown before the order is confirmed.

For deliveries outside Switzerland, import taxes, customs duties or administration charges may be collected by authorities or the carrier. Unless expressly included at checkout, these amounts are not included and remain payable by the recipient.

5. Orders and contract formation

Before submitting an order, you can review and correct the information entered. By clicking the final order button, you submit a binding offer to purchase.

You will then receive an electronic confirmation. The contract is formed when we accept the order, including through a shipping confirmation or separate acceptance notice. We may refuse or cancel an order if an item is unavailable, a price is manifestly incorrect, fraud is suspected or performance is impossible; any amount already collected will then be refunded.

6. Payment

Available payment methods are shown during checkout and may include payment cards, Twint or other providers displayed at checkout. Payments are processed by specialist providers under their own terms.

An order may be suspended until payment is authorised. Refunds are generally made to the payment method used for the purchase.

7. Delivery

Switzerland: orders are shipped by Swiss Post or an equivalent carrier. Unless checkout states otherwise, the charge is CHF 5 and the estimated delivery time is 3 to 5 business days after order processing.

Europe and other offered destinations: estimated delivery is generally 7 to 10 business days. Shipments may be made DDU, meaning that taxes, duties and import charges remain payable by the recipient.

Delivery times are estimates and may vary because of stock, personalisation, the carrier, customs formalities or force majeure. The customer must provide an accurate address and promptly report delivery issues.

8. Voluntary returns

Although Swiss law does not provide a general withdrawal right for online purchases, we voluntarily allow 14 days from receipt to request the return of a standard product.

The product must be unused, complete, in perfect condition and returned in suitable packaging. Unless the product is defective or we made an error, return costs and risks are borne by the customer. After inspection, we refund the product price, excluding original delivery charges, to the original payment method.

Personalised products, products made to your specifications or products that cannot be resold are not returnable unless defective or supplied incorrectly. Before returning an item, email info@carnetnumero.ch for instructions.

9. Defective products and warranty

You must inspect the order on receipt and promptly notify us of damage, errors or defects, preferably with photographs.

Mandatory rights under applicable law remain unaffected. Under Swiss law, claims for defects in consumer goods are generally subject to a two-year limitation period from delivery. Depending on the circumstances, we may repair, replace, reduce the price or refund the affected product.

The warranty does not cover normal wear, damage caused by misuse, accident, improper storage or unauthorised alteration.

10. Intellectual property

Texts, photographs, illustrations, graphics, trademarks, logos and other website content belong to Carnet Numéro or are used with permission. They may not be reproduced, modified, distributed or commercially exploited without prior written permission.

When you supply content for personalisation, you confirm that you have the rights needed for its use and grant us a limited permission to reproduce it solely to fulfil your order.

11. Website use and availability

You agree to use the website lawfully and not to disrupt its operation, gain unauthorised access to systems or introduce malicious content.

We may modify, interrupt or maintain the website at any time. We aim to keep information accurate and available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

12. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, loss of data or profit, or delays caused by a third party, a carrier, inaccurate information supplied by the customer or an event reasonably beyond our control.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

13. Force majeure

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by an event beyond our reasonable control, including natural disaster, major outage, strike, epidemic, government action, conflict or disruption to networks or transport. Where possible, we will inform you and resume performance when circumstances allow.

14. Personal data

Processing of personal data in connection with the website and orders is described in our Privacy Policy. By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to read that policy.

15. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms to reflect legal, technical or commercial developments. The version applying to an order is the version accepted when the order was placed. The latest version remains available on the website.

16. Severability

If a provision of these terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. To the extent permitted, the affected provision will be replaced by a valid rule that most closely reflects its purpose.

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Swiss law, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply in the customer’s country of residence.

Disputes are heard by the courts competent under applicable law. Where a choice of forum is permitted, the courts of the canton of Vaud, Switzerland, have jurisdiction.
