Carnet Numéro began with a simple idea: to create a notebook that feels good to use, is beautiful enough to keep and discreet enough to leave room for ideas.

We see the notebook as a starting point rather than a finished statement. It receives lists, sketches, plans and fragments of thought, then changes character as its pages fill.

We seek a balance between form, function and durability. Every detail — paper, binding, colour and format — is considered through the experience of everyday use.

A restrained object asks more of each decision. A cover should protect without getting in the way, a format should feel natural in the hand, and the binding should let the pages do their work.

Carnet Numéro is developed in Switzerland in dialogue with craftspeople and production partners whose knowledge gives each material its right expression.

We favour useful objects, durable constructions and details that age well. The aim is not to add more, but to make fewer things that remain a pleasure to use.
